Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso will look to bow out in style at the BayArena when his side face Borussia Dortmund on Sunday in the Bundesliga.
Alonso confirmed on Friday that he will leave Leverkusen at the end of 2024-25, having led his side to a domestic double last season.
The Spaniard oversaw an unbeaten campaign as Bayer won the 2023-24 Bundesliga title before following it up with the DFB-Pokal in only his first full season as a senior club boss.
Sadly for Leverkusen, their title reign was ended by Bayer Munich last weekend, and they will need to be at their best to stop top-four chasing Dortmund.
Leverkusen are second in the table and will stay there with only two games left and a 12-point cushion over Eintracht Frankfurt, while Dortmund are fifth and only one point behind fourth-placed Freiburg.
Team News
Alonso will be without Mario Hermoso for his final two games in charge, while Jeanuel Belocian is also out until next season.
Nordi Mukiele is struggling to overcome a calf injury and he could join Alejo Sarco in the treatment room as he tries to bounce back from a thigh problem.
Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck is sidelined with a muscle issue, while Marcel Sabitzer is hoping to take up a place on the bench as he tries to prove his fitness after a knee problem.
The stats
Leverkusen are unbeaten in five games in all competitions, but they have only won two of those ties.
At home, Leverkusen are unbeaten in three games, keeping clean sheets in the most recent two.
Dortmund have won four games in a row in all competitions, while they are unbeaten in five matches.
Niko Kovac's side have scored two or more goals in their last six games, while they have netted three or more in five of those matches.
Leverkusen won the last meeting in January 3-2 away from home, and both teams have scored in the previous three games between the pair.
Prediction

Leverkusen's recent form suggests their squad is already thinking about next season and while they will want to send Alonso off in style by winning his final home game, that is easier said than done.
Dortmund have motivations of their own and they are one of the form teams in the Bundesliga.
Their exploits in front of goal mean they will pose a major threat and it is hard to see Leverkusen stopping them from scoring.
Der BVB have repeatedly proven over the last month that they can score multiple goals and that should mean they earn at least a share of the spoils.
